I cried often, feeling unseen, misunderstood, and unloved. I learned that my powerful and joyful expression wasn’t welcome—that I should bury it, care for others, and ignore the gentle inner voice that whispered otherwise.

After forty years of inner battles, I understand now: I was never wrong or broken. The system is. The world has it wrong—not just about me, but about all of us. I’ve returned to the beautiful self I was born to be, now carrying the wisdom of a life deeply lived.
